about

High Roller is a simple song about the trials and tribulations of doing up
a house. The song explores the joy, stress and anxiety that comes with the territory but ultimately how the process creates so much more than
a comfortable living space.

lyrics

It’s ours to break
We took a chance on something small,
It wasn’t wide it wasn’t tall
It only had two up two down,
It’s everything but on the ground,

We bend and kneel and bleed and scrape
The wonky walls the give and take
I know we’ll a lot of mistakes
But it’s alright coz its, it’s ours to break

It had a bath that didn’t fit,
We hardly had a place to sit,
We slept in one room with all our shit
The walls were crumbling to bits

I swear it has a vivid soul,
I hear it’s breath i feel it’s pulse
I know we’ve made a lot of mistakes,
But it’s alright coz its, it’s ours to break

If we hollow it out
Would we lose a past time,
Something to never happen again

If we hollow it out
Would it cause a landslide,
Cause it to fold in on itself?

Outro
You got me inside out
You got me all turned round,
Theres something in these walls,
There’s something on this ground

It’s hidden out of sight,
It’s slightly out of range
This range is all I
The sun begins to fade,

I’m a high roller,
I did my best shoulder you,
There’s something in the dark,
And I won’t stop
